Hello Keewaydin Families,

We are excited to welcome you back for another school year!

Many families have children in the district who will begin school tomorrow, September 1. We wanted to send a quick reminder that Keewaydin Discovery Center begins one week later, after the Labor Day holiday.

We look forward to seeing our students and families and starting another wonderful year together!

This year, the Kennewick School District has partnered with BusRight, an app that gives families greater visibility into student transportation, including when students get on and off the bus and when buses are expected to arrive at their stops.

Many of you have reached out because you are not yet seeing your Keewaydin student in the BusRight app or are looking for an invitation code.

Don’t worry, you haven’t missed anything!

At this time, Keewaydin students will not appear in the app because the Transportation Department is still working on our bus routes. Once the routes are finalized, Transportation will send families an invitation to access their student’s information in BusRight.

Please keep in mind that the BusRight invitation will come directly from the Transportation Department, not from the Keewaydin office.

Student schedules and teacher information began going out in the USPS MAIL last week. Not all schedules were mailed at the same time, so if you have completed all required registration items but have not received your child’s schedule yet, don’t worry—it is still on its way!

Schedules are mailed once all required registration paperwork and documentation are complete. Families who are still missing items have been contacted by email or message with information about what is needed.
